ALRIGHT so I'm going to take a small sabbatical from my usual (two) posts and focus on THE BEST DAMN PIECE OF WRITING I HAVE EVER HAD THE OPPORTUNITY TO LAY MY EYES ON
It's called Lib's Life. It's basically my best friend (Lib)'s new blog. I talked her into creating one, but I didn't expect, when I checked it out, that I would read pure metaphorical GOLD.  (of course her writing wasn't actually gold. what I'm trying to say did she's the best damn writer in the entire world.
Apparently my BFF has been hiding her outstanding talent from me, from you, and from the world. has our whole friendship together been a lie?
I'm kidding, of course. But I seriously recommend you check out her page. I swear you won't be disappointed.

A simple rundown of her blog is... well, basically it's Lib's Life. Pretty self-explanatory, but I'll explain it anyway. The ups and downs and turn-arounds of the life of a typical heartland middle school kid.
An entirely true story and advice-spot told by a talented writer. Really worth a read, even just a skim.

Introduction

I've never done this before. SO this is my blog, and I should probably tell you what it's about. Well, basically (very basically), it's an art blog. Put into more detail, you could say it's a blog where I offer advice about drawing and painting and art tips and techniques to beginning (or intermediate, advanced, etc) artists. Plus, there're probably going to be other things such as displaying art of my own and others' art, allowing the occasional guest post (about art), and basically just write all the time about the thing I'm the most passionate about- art. Have I said the word 'art' enough? No? Anyhoo, I'll probably post around 6-10 times a week with more material, more writing, more tips, and -most importantly- more art! See ya around

SO ANATOMY STUFF

Today I'm going to be talking about structure and/or anatomy. Now, before you say or think it, I KNOW everyone told you to "study anatomy" before you start drawing. Yes, I KNOW you don't want to and think it's unnecessary. I couldn't agree more. After all, what art IS is squandering your life, broke and alone on the street, but still creating the most beautiful masterpieces that no one acknowledges until you're long dead  creating your OWN structures and shaping the human body the way YOU see it. But I still advise you to, at least before you get good (not that I'm saying you're not), look at the human muscles. and body. I'm not saying study, because I feel that that is a very wrong way of putting it (Art is art, not school) but at least figure out how everything is relative. Now you only have to do this until you look at people and admire the way they hold themselves when they stir pasta or you watch someone cry and think about drawing that...
